The short answer is NO! Technically you don’t even need to buy a newspaper yourself to gain these Nectar Points!
Waitrose is actually doing a great offer, where you can get a FREE newspaper when you spend £10 in store.
This means you can get FREE Nectar points every day if you wanted to without having to spend any extra money!
The thing is, you don’t always have to get the newspaper yourself either.
Do you have a relative or neighbour who always buys the paper? You can ask them to give this to you when they are done reading it.
Even some coffee shops or hairdressers have spare newspapers out for the public.
Why not ask the owner or manager if you can take them or simply rip out the code when they are done using them. No harm in trying or asking, as they may just end up in the bin anyway!
